Once you have filled in your application and validated your payment, you will receive your Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) by email. Lead times between processing and obtaining the ETA are generally short.

As soon as you receive your ETA by email, you will be able to enter Sri Lanka.
You can apply for ETA Sri Lanka if you meet the following conditions:
– The stay in Sri Lanka does not exceed 30 days.
– Your passport was legally issued by an eligible country for ETA Sri Lanka.
– Your passport is valid for at least 6 months at the date of travel.
Nationals of the following countries are exempted from ETA:
- The Republic of Singapore
- The Republic of Maldives
- The Republic of Seychelles
Request for ETA Sri Lanka for a whole family
Each traveler must have a valid ETA to travel to Sri Lanka. A separate application is mandatory for each member of the family.
Response to ETA Application
For the vast majority of ETA requests, a response is received within 24 hours.
Some applications may require a longer processing time. We recommend to apply for your ETA at least 3 days before your departure.
